Training for care workers was a foreign concept to the medical industry before 1999. It was introduced by Sr Celia only with a handful of ladies in Eersterust. The first course was so successful that it grew from strength to strength in only a couple of months.
It was officially brought into the civic centre in Eersterust with continuous courses running throughout the year.
Currently training is presented in Queenswood, Pretoria.
Our care workers undergo intensive theoretical training for 7 weeks and then train practically in high care facilities for an extra 7 weeks until signed off by the matron of the hospital.
Thereafter they are sensitively placed with patients or swooped up by other health facilities.
Caring Hands strives for excellence and quality and service.
